Adondo or Talking Drums have many uses in African societies. During birth, initiation and death, the sound of the drum is present. They are made from various objects including calabash, gourds, wood, and bamboo. "Talking Drums" are widely used in Ghana, especially by the Ashantis. I already play a mountain lap dulcimer, but this one gives the instrument a whole different dimension to playing. Really beautiful craftsmanship. Thus isn’t a toy, but a lovely wooden instrument. Very easy to play!

Multifacsited approach to something fun to do!

Plays like a dream. I have MS and am no longer able to play guitar, but this uke let's me play songs again and sing. I had no idea how much I'd missed having music in my body. Thanks, Lark!

I love these little hand carved wood whistles from Brazil

These are great! They have a grand sound!
