It sounds good and works well for one-octave-plus-one-note, meaning D to E (not counting the low-pitch first register which isn't used in tabor piping). Notes higher than E are hit-or-miss and painfully loud. But for one-octave tunes it's fun and easy to play, and sounds quite good with a drum.
Im a beginner so I can’t say that I’m the best to review but this tabor is nice and simple, sounds good to me, and feels easy to play.

I already play a mountain lap dulcimer, but this one gives the instrument a whole different dimension to playing. Really beautiful craftsmanship. Thus isn’t a toy, but a lovely wooden instrument. Very easy to play!

Multifacsited approach to something fun to do!

Plays like a dream. I have MS and am no longer able to play guitar, but this uke let's me play songs again and sing. I had no idea how much I'd missed having music in my body. Thanks, Lark!

I love these little hand carved wood whistles from Brazil

These are great! They have a grand sound!
