Key of D.
A distinctively loud and high-pitched sound, and is used frequently in traditional music ensembles, particularly those that perform outdoors. This version has a wooden bell. Comes with a staple and pair of reeds.

I inquired and bought 2 extra reeds, but all 4 reeds are flawed and do not buzz. I have experience...I own and played my father's Shriner Suona from the 60s and the reeds were not these, both cane reeds are too large, the plastic ones are split on the sides and do not buzz. So it's an ornament not an instrument. I'll look elsewhere for the real reeds.

This whistle has a beautiful, warm tone and is very responsive. I have used a variety of whistles (including other Kerry whistles), and this one is my favorite to play. While recording my latest album, I needed a whistle in this key pretty quickly, and Lark in the Morning had this delivered to me within a few days. I highly recommend this instrument, and Lark in the Morning is a fantastic place to purchase from with excellent customer service.

I already play a mountain lap dulcimer, but this one gives the instrument a whole different dimension to playing. Really beautiful craftsmanship. Thus isn’t a toy, but a lovely wooden instrument. Very easy to play!

Multifacsited approach to something fun to do!

Plays like a dream. I have MS and am no longer able to play guitar, but this uke let's me play songs again and sing. I had no idea how much I'd missed having music in my body. Thanks, Lark!

I love these little hand carved wood whistles from Brazil
