A distinctively loud and high-pitched sound, and similar to a Chinese Suona it is used frequently in traditional music ensembles, particularly those that perform outdoors.
We list the key in Western terms as the root note of the instrument as played with all holes closed. However, many of the instruments are marked with a key that's the tonic of the instrument.
These come in a variety of wood color tones, and bells can be silver or brass colored. If you have a preference for coloring, please indicate that in the notes when placing an order.

This whistle has a beautiful, warm tone and is very responsive. I have used a variety of whistles (including other Kerry whistles), and this one is my favorite to play. While recording my latest album, I needed a whistle in this key pretty quickly, and Lark in the Morning had this delivered to me within a few days. I highly recommend this instrument, and Lark in the Morning is a fantastic place to purchase from with excellent customer service.

I already play a mountain lap dulcimer, but this one gives the instrument a whole different dimension to playing. Really beautiful craftsmanship. Thus isn’t a toy, but a lovely wooden instrument. Very easy to play!

Multifacsited approach to something fun to do!

Plays like a dream. I have MS and am no longer able to play guitar, but this uke let's me play songs again and sing. I had no idea how much I'd missed having music in my body. Thanks, Lark!

I love these little hand carved wood whistles from Brazil
