Ney Collection: Flutes of the Middle East
The ney is an ancient end-blown flute with deep roots in the musical traditions of the Middle East, North Africa, and Central Asia. Used in both classical and devotional contexts, the ney is renowned for its distinctive, breathy tone and its expressive capacity across a wide range of musical styles.
This collection features a variety of neys handcrafted by skilled makers, representing regional differences in construction and tuning. Instruments are available in both Arabic and Turkish styles, with variations in pitch, length, and fingering systems. Materials range from traditional giant cane to modern synthetic alternatives, offering options for students, educators, and professional musicians alike.
Each ney in this collection reflects the cultural significance and craftsmanship of its origin. Whether used in performance, study, or collection, these instruments provide insight into one of the world's oldest continuous wind traditions.

Awesome instrument
I already play a mountain lap dulcimer, but this one gives the instrument a whole different dimension to playing. Really beautiful craftsmanship. Thus isn’t a toy, but a lovely wooden instrument. Very easy to play!

Plays like a dream. I have MS and am no longer able to play guitar, but this uke let's me play songs again and sing. I had no idea how much I'd missed having music in my body. Thanks, Lark!
