We've lumped Greek, Irish and Portuguese bouzoukis together in this collection. The Irish and Portuguese bouzoukis are quite similar in shape, though the Portuguese version is slightly broader in the body. By some accounts, the Irish bouzouki is a combination of the long neck of the Greek bouzouki and the teardrop-shaped body of the Portuguese guitarra.
Greek bouzoukis on the other hand, look and sound quite different, with their bowl-back design derived from the Turkish saz.

Awesome instrument
I already play a mountain lap dulcimer, but this one gives the instrument a whole different dimension to playing. Really beautiful craftsmanship. Thus isn’t a toy, but a lovely wooden instrument. Very easy to play!

Plays like a dream
Plays like a dream. I have MS and am no longer able to play guitar, but this uke let's me play songs again and sing. I had no idea how much I'd missed having music in my body. Thanks, Lark!
